She reaches out and in her hand is a chocolate coated Popsicle. The camera focuses on her mouth, and her white teeth bite into the delicacy. With an ‘ooh’ and an ‘ahh’, the camera slowly pans out to show the sleek lines of her neck, the Popsicle slightly off to the side, it could be seen, but barely. The camera continues to pan out and out from the shadow, a man enters and draws near. The profile of the woman turns, a seductive smile on her face. The camera shifts to the Popsicle and the implications are clear.
Okay, question: what has sex got to do with chocolate coated ice cream? Answer: A LOT!!!! How else can you sell? Strike the pose, let the customers decide. The subliminal suggestion is quite clear. Sex is the key feature to eating ice cream and with that, you will get the same satisfaction the ad implied, if you buy it for yourself.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you can and will succeed in the world of advertising by simply using hypnosis ideas in your designing.
